BZBI-Wide Book Club
The BZBI book club is in its fifth year! For more information, contact Carmie Levine. New participants are most welcome.
Upcoming meeting dates and books for this year are:
- September 18, 2024, “Einstein and the Rabbi” by Naomi Levy, to be reviewed by Dr. Joanne Perilstein, 7 pm, at the BZBI Chapel, both in-person and on Zoom.
- November 20, 2024, “Dwell Time” by Rosa Lowinger. The review will be preceded by a potluck vegetarian/dairy supper at 5:45 pm, followed by the discussion at 7 pm. Please email Julia Pollock, our Engagement & Programming Coordinator for details regarding this meeting as it is taking place offsite (communications@bzbi.org).
- January 29, 2025, “My Father’s Paradise” by Ariel Sabar, to be reviewed by Larry Copeland and Laurie Segal, 7 pm, at the BZBI Chapel, both in-person and on Zoom.
- March 5, 2025, “The Cost of Free Land: Jews, Lakota and an American Inheritance” by Rebecca Clarren, to be reviewed by Linda Schaffzin, 7 pm, at the BZBI Chapel, both in-person and on Zoom.
