Early Childhood PTA

Involvement in the Parent/Teacher Association (PTA) is open to all families of our Playschool and Preschool. The purpose of the PTA is to encourage family involvement in our dynamic early childhood program while supporting the school through various volunteer activities. These include:

  • Social Action: The PTA organizes activities and events, often with the participation of the children, which will benefit the community. Our goal is to familiarize the children with the ideas of doing mitzvot and tzedakah. Previous events include a coat drive, a food drive for Mitzvah Food Pantry, collecting classroom tzedakah, and Alex’s Lemonade Stand.
  • Development:  The PTA organizes fundraisers to support our school.
  • Classroom:  Each classroom has two parent representatives, Classroom Parents, who serve as a liaison between the classroom and the PTA. The classroom parents assist in organizing classroom parties, field trips, class gifts, etc.
  • Welcoming New Families:  As new families join our Playschool and Preschool they are welcomed by a friendly phone call from a veteran parent. Volunteers may also speak to prospective families about our Early Childhood Education programs.
