    YOUTH AND FAMILY LATKE FUNDRAISER
    Ordering Window closed on November 14
    Again this year, you can purchase boxes of delicious frozen Latkes in support of BZBI Youth & Family programming. They taste good any time of year. The price is $18 for one box of latkes, and $14 each if you order more than one.

    EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION SUFGANIYOT FUNDRAISER
    NOW THROUGH FRIDAY, November 19
    New for this year, you can purchase bakery-fresh sufganiyot (jelly doughnuts) and support Early Childhood Education programming! The price is $18 for a dozen sufganiot and they are prepared fresh just before delivery on Wednesday, December 1 by Roling’s bakery. Order here.

    Special Hanukkah gifts, Judaica, jewelry, toys and more are available at the gift shop, with shopping by appointment only. Call the Temple office at 215-735-5148 to schedule time.

    SUNDAY, November 28 through SUNDAY December 6 – All Eight Nights

    Drop off donations in the lobby of the Temple. We are looking for used socks, belts, and billfolds for the Bethesda Project and Project Home, plus women’s sanitary products for Mercy Hospice.     CANDLE LIGHTING IN CYBERSPACE A BZBI Event
    SUNDAY, November 28 through SUNDAY December 6 – All Eight Nights
    Light the menorah with Rabbis Abe and Abi just before evening Ma’ariv services at 8:15 PM (5:15 PM on Friday night). Join using the regular BZBI services link.

    2nd CANDLE – MONDAY November 29
    Knit items for Project Home while socializing with other BZBI community members. Part of the Tikkun Olam Monthly Knitting and Crocheting series, and we will teach you. Information here.
    BETHESDA PROJECT #Servefor8 event
    3rd CANDLE- TUESDAY November 30
    Prepare bagged lunches and baked breakfast goods. Items can be prepared at home and dropped off at BZBI in the early evening. Click here to sign up for the Bethesda Project.
    KEHILLAH OF CENTER CITY CANDLE LIGHTING A Community-wide Event
    4th CANDLE – WEDNESDAY December 1
    This year, Center City Kehillah will light Hanukkah Candles in Rittenhouse Square. Details will be posted on Facebook and in the e-Cong newsletter. In collaboration with BZBI Tikkun Olam, the Kehillah will be collecting items needed by the Bethesda Project at the event. Specifically requested are sweatshirts and hoodies, men’s wallets and belts, and Sports-themed winter hats!

    Make homemade cards for the Jewish Relief Agency to be included in food boxes that are packed and delivered to local families in need.

    Join our family-friendly celebration of Hanukkah and celebrate the volunteers and donors who keep the BZBI community shining bright.
