Facilities Contributions
The Beth Zion-Beth Israel physical plant is aging, and requires regular renovation. In the last year, with the guidance of the Executive Director, the Board, and the Building Committee, general repairs have been funded, including
- New carpet in the Daniel and Beverly Goldberg Sanctuary, generously donated by the Goldbergs
- Removal of the organ from the choir loft
- Repairs to the building chimney
- Wiring the Goldberg Sanctuary, and the Isadore and Sophie Klinghoffer Chapel, for live streaming
- Plumbing renovations including the Laurie Wagman Playschool and Abigail R. Cohen Preschool bathrooms
- Repair of the corroded steam pipe running from the Wagman Playschool and Cohen Preschool to the Attic
- Telephone system hardware and software update
- Tallit storage closet renovation coming soon!
