BZBI is working with the the city and the Philadelphia Horticultural Society (PHS) to plant a Honey Locust ’street keeper,’ tree which will provide beauty and shade to our congregation and community L’dor v’dor – for generations to come. The tree planting will take place on Sunday, November 21 at 10:00 AM. You can see white paint marking on 18th Street where pavement will be removed for the tree.
PHS requires that all volunteers create an account and register via VolunteerHub. All volunteers eligible for the Covid-19 vaccine must be fully vaccinated. Plan to wear a mask to wear as you will be working less than six feet from other volunteers. Kids from age 14 to 17 may participate if a parent/guardian completes the waiver. For volunteers ages 8 – 13, a parent/guardian must accompany the child.
