Hygiene Kit Drive and Packing Party
Drive runs May 1 through May 19, Packing will take place on Sunday, May 19 at 10:00 AM in the Klinghoffer Chapel

The Tikkun Olam Committee is collecting items for hygiene kits that HIAS-PA provides to refugee families they are welcoming to Philadelphia. You can purchase items from the list below or bring in unopened items you already have at home and deliver them to the synagogue. Donation bins are located in the 18th Street lobby. We’re meeting Sunday, May 19 at 10:00 AM at BZBI to put the kits together.

Adults:
● individually wrapped toothbrush
● toothpaste
● deodorant
● bars of soap
● razors
● bottle of shampoo
● comb or brush
● menstrual products
● small bottle of shaving cream
● nail clippers/hand cream/lip balm

Kids:
● kid friendly toothpaste
● kid friendly shampoo
● kid friendly body wash
● comb or brush
● a fun little toy/stickers 

 

HOW WE SERVE AT BZBI:

Stocking Up: Cook and/or volunteer to deliver meals to members who are in need.  

#Servefor8: Volunteer to lead or support our annual Hanukkah Service campaign.

Intergenerational Reading: Create new connections between young and old in the BZBI community.

Committee Volunteering: Help BZBI’s board move the community forward by serving on strategic and operational committees.
