Sefirat Ha-Omer – the time between Pesah and Shavuot – is a season of journey and becoming. In this time of counting and accounting, Senior Rabbi Abe Friedman calls for reflective time that invites each of us to explore: Where have I been? Where am I now? And where do I go from here?
During Shavuot, BZBI offers the opportunity to build on this inward journey through BZBI and Center City Kehillah’s Tikkun Lael Shavuot learning sessions, along with a festival morning service featuring Yizkor. We also keep things light with ice cream and Popsicles in celebration of Shavuot and a family picnic and playtime.
