January 8: Benjamin Berger’s Bar Mitzvah

Benjamin Harry Berger celebrates his Bar Mitzvah on January 8 during the morning Shabbat service in the Goldberg Sanctuary. BZBI has served as one of strong communities that has nurtured Benjamin as he has grown up in our “village” of Center City Philadelphia.  Other communities have included Center City Jewish Preschool, Perelman Jewish Day School, Jack M. Barrack Hebrew Academy AND Friends Select Aquatics (FSA). Because, as Benjamin has grown up, he has funneled his boundless energy into swimming with FSA and running and biking in Fairmont Park. We feel blessed to have had our friends at BZBI be part of the village that has helped raise Benjamin and bring us to this special day.
