In honor of Yom Hashoah (Holocaust Remembrance Day), join the BZBI community as we remember Ilse Korona, who was (as far as we are aware) the last member of BZBI to have personally survived the horrors of the Shoah. Ilse passed away on November 19, 2024; some in the BZBI community knew her and will share memories.
We will also show excerpts from Ilse’s testimony to the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. What will it mean to turn to the next generations: to descendents of survivors and victims to keep the memories alive for us?
