One of the most important early prophetic books, actually a transition between the period of the Judges and the period of the later Prophets, the books also describe the transition from the tribal confederation to the centralized monarchy in Jewish history. We will be attuned to these historical issues, while also tracing the maturing theology of these later biblical narratives. This class meets weekly on a Tuesday at 10:00 AM.
