Yom Kippur Afternoon

Yom Kippur Afternoon

September 19 2018, 2:15 PM - 8:30 PM

Congregant Hour, 2:15-4:00 PM, in the Chapel
Join BZBI members Clare Kahn Mozes, Eileen Dwell, and David Colman as they share their experiences from their travels this past year. Clare is a member of Women International Leaders (WIL) of Greater Philadelphia. This past year Clare traveled to Guatemala to see the impact of WIL’s work with micro-finance and micro grants on the local community. Eileen Dwell traveled with a group of friends and had an in depth look at the Jewish Community in Havana and visit to the only Jewish Cemetery in Cuba.  They traveled westward from Havana to Holiguin. She will reflect on the Shabbat services she experiences and  how members of this small Jewish Community support one another. David Colman will share his travels with the American Jewish JOINT Distribution Committee.

As we spend the Day of Atonement looking inward, join us for an hour of reflection on the many communities that make up our world.
