Shabbat Shirah: Building a Singing Community

Shabbat Shirah: Building a Singing Community

January 26 - January 27 2018

On Shabbat Shirah we read aloud the Song of the Sea, a joyous prayer offered by the people of Israel while crossing the divided Red Sea. Join BZBI and Joey Weisenberg of Mechon Hadar’s Rising Song Institute to celebrate the ways that musicality has continued to deepen the bonds of our community.

We welcome all to our weekend-long immersive exploration of the power of music to awaken the spirit and strengthen our ties as a community. Our artist-in-residence Joey will guide us in exploring new approaches to deepening our experience of sacred community through communal prayer and song. All of our singing and learning sessions are free, with no registration required.
