BZBI Shabbat Service

July 24 2021, 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

This week, BZBI holds services on Zoom. Register here for access.

The next hybrid service (in-sanctuary and on Zoom) is scheduled for Saturday, June 26.

The Reopening Task Force is in the process of determining when and how we will reopen for in-person services. Until then, we will hold Sanctuary services as determined by leadership.  Watch the newsletter or this page for announcements of our transition back to hybrid (in-person + Zoom) services.

Masks will be required at all times for in-person attendance, and we ask that you not attend if you are experiencing any symptoms of COVID-19; have been exposed to someone who might be positive for COVID-19; or are awaiting the results of a COVID test. Pre-registration is not required for in-person services at BZBI.

As we return to BZBI’s sanctuary you will notice changes in the content and flow of services, just like the period of adjustment we went through when we started holding Shabbat services on Zoom. We would love to hear any feedback you have on the hybrid experience, whether you participate from home or at BZBI. In particular for this week, it has been our practice on Zoom to read the shorter “weekday” Torah portion during the Shabbat service; as this week’s Torah readers prepared long before we decided to hold this week in person, we will be continuing with the Torah reading they have prepared. As our reopening moves forward, we will work toward a fuller Torah reading for hybrid service.

Come back to our warm and friendly environment in which to be inspired by the words and music of our traditional egalitarian service – to celebrate our simchas (celebrations) and those of other congregants, and to provide one another with spiritual support and comfort in difficult times.
