Zoom Shabbat Service with Rabbi Abi Weber

January 9 2021, 9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

In this time of uncertainty and isolation, we turn to one another and we turn to prayer to help us cope.  We miss being together in our sanctuary on Spruce Street, even as our own homes have become “houses of prayer.” As the current period of “stay at home” persists, BZBI is committed to adapting our spiritual offerings to meet the needs of our members.

Following the service, at approximately 11:15 AM, stay with us for online Kiddush and small group discussion.

For three weekends, we welcome candidates nominated by the clergy search committee.

  • Rabbi Margo Hughes-Robinson: Friday, February 26 – Monday, March 1
  • Rabbi Abi Weber: Friday, March 5 – Monday, March 8
  • Rabbi Bronwen Mullin: Thursday, March 11-Sunday, March 14

Today, we welcome Rabbi Abi Weber as she gives a D’var Torah and joins us for visits during Zoom Kiddush. A congregational survey will be sent out following the visit, and we look forward to your feedback.

Zoom Shabbat uses the same link as our weekday Zoom Minyan, and you can register here for access.

  • We now require pre-registration to attend all services. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email allowing you into all religious services, including daily minyan, Kabbalat Shabbat and Havdallah.
  • You can download Siddur Sim Shalom, used for the daily minyan or Shabbat services by going here.
  • The weekly Torah parashah can be found on our shofar blog, here.

Come to find a warm and friendly environment in which to greet friends and be inspired by the words and music of our traditional egalitarian service – to celebrate our simchas (celebrations) and those of other congregants, and to provide one another with spiritual support and comfort in difficult times.
