“I like to consider myself a renaissance Jew. Growing up in NYC, my parents made Judaism a focal point of our lives, but we were not super observant. I went to an Modern Orthodox day school, was an active member on USY conventions and summer trips, and attend a nondenominational summer camp. I’ve always loved to celebrate Jewish holidays and Shabbat, and come up with Jewish-inspired recipes.

As part of the Tribe12 academy leadership program, my love of food and Jewish culture led me to develop the concept and form “Pop Up Foodie Shabbat.” Pop Up Foodie Shabbat is a unique Shabbat meal experience aimed at young Jews who are also into food. Our mission is to provide unique, exciting, and above all, delicious Shabbat dinners to all. We want to make it super easy for you to host or attend a Shabbat dinner where the meal is foodie-centric without you having to slave over a hot stove all day—we’ll do it for you! Our program supplies the food, decorations, activities, tablescape, and more—all you’d have to do is invite your friends to fill up the table!

We’re so excited to be partnering up with Temple BZBI on their Young Professionals Shabbat dinner and can’t wait to make your Shabbat delicious.”
