Kashrut Study Sessions Series

April 1 2017, 12:30 PM - 2:30 PM

Have you ever thought about having a Kosher kitchen? What does it mean to be Kosher? Is it just not having a cheeseburger or shellfish?  Is it something more?  Why do Jews keep Kosher? What is the hallachic guidance we follow? Join us as we begin to answer these questions in the first of a series of conversations about keeping Kosher and how you can do so in your own home. It is easier than you may think. Practical logistics such as kitchen set-up will be matched by religious texts explaining the foundation – and a  field trip to a congregant’s kitchen for a hands-on demonstration!

The first session will be held after Kiddush on Saturday, April 1.

The second will be held on Sunday, April 2. Join us for minyan at 9 and then we will leave for the Kashrut class around 10.

RSVP to the Temple Office for details (215-735-5148).
