Artist-in-Residence Shabbaton with Eliana Light

BZBI is pleased to welcome Eliana Light as our Artist-in-Residence for the first of four Shabbaton weekends with her, beginning Friday, November 22. Following Kabbalat Shabbat, join us for a community dinner where Eliana will teach on the topic “Ezri Me’im ____: Where does our help come from?”

Please register for the community dinner below. The cost is $20 per adult; $10 per child (12 and under); fees not to exceed $50 per family.

On Shabbat morning, November 23, Eliana will join the Neziner Hebrew School for Junior Congregation at 10:00 AM and will also lead musaf in the Sanctury and teach on the topic “Anim Z’mirot: Knowing the Unknowable.”

This year’s Artist-in-Residence program is sponsored by BZBI Sisterhood; Neziner Hebrew School; Youth & Family PTA; Penny & Sheldon Bernick; Melissa Lerman & Eric Berger; BZBI Laurie Wagman Playschool and Abigail R. Cohen Preschool.

Eliana Light is an award winning songwriter and educator who empowers people to make Judaism their own through song, experiential education, and prayer. She has released two albums of original Jewish music and travels the country providing artist-in-residence weekends, teaching at conferences, and consulting with synagogues to create intentional, meaningful prayer experiences for adults and children alike. Eliana’s visit is the first of four Artist-in-Residence Shabbatons BZBI has planned for the year. She will return on January 24-25, March 27-28, and April 24-25. Please save the dates for these exciting Shabbaton weekends.
