DESCRIPTION:The summer book club selection is Squirrel Hill by Mark Oppenheimer. The book describes how “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” became the site of the most deadly antisemitic attack on American soil – and what happened afterward – with the precision of the best suspense stories. Mark is the author of five books\, including Knocking on Heaven’s Door: American Religion in the Age of Counterculture and The Newish Jewish Encyclopedia.
