To register for this free event\, click here.  \nOren Kessler is a journalist and author\, formerly deputy research director at Foundation for Defense of Democracies in Washington and currently based in Tel Aviv. \nHis first book is Palestine 1936: The Great Revolt and the Roots of the Middle East Conflict. It tells the epic story – for the first time in English – of the 1936-1939 Arab Revolt in Mandate Palestine\, the forgotten first “Intifada” that was a seminal event in the birth of Israel and the Middle East conflict\, with lasting echoes until today. The book has been enthusiastically received\, including very positive reviews in the Wall Street Journal and Haaretz\, and reaching #1 on Amazon for new releases in Middle East History.
