    I. Guiding Principles

    1. Longer exposure to the virus may increase the chance of infection, and the closer/prolonged exposure.
    2. Indoor spaces are significantly more susceptible to exposure than outdoor spaces.
    3. Droplets are expelled through speech and singing. Droplets expelled by singing travel further than droplets expelled by speech.

    II. Participants

    1. Participants should follow City of Philadelphia guidelines for wearing masks
    2. Individuals should not come to BZBI if they:
      • Have or recently had a fever, or
      • Have or recently had COVID-19 symptoms, e.g., cough, sore throat, aches, fatigue, gastrointestinal distress, or loss of sense of smell or taste, or have had close contact within the last 14 days with someone who tested positive or has COVID-19.
    1. Additional Information Upon Entering:
      • Hand sanitizer is available in multiple locations
      • Note that the bathroom across from the office may be used by congregants, vendors, office staff, and guests only. All other bathrooms are for Early Childhood students and staff.

    III. Distancing

    1. The City of Philadelphia continues to update recommendations for room capacity rates. Please contact us for current guidance on this.
    2. Those who are honored with aliyot and readings should follow the direction of the clergy present.
    3. Congregants and visitors should follow guidelines in the building on distancing.

    IV. Recommendation that precautions be taken when singing.

    V. Zooming and/or live stream should be considered for all activities, depending on the activity, and particularly for high-risk congregants as long as the COVID infection is a concern.

    VI. Infection: Please notify the office immediately if you have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and attended an in-person event or visited the building within 14 days for more than 10 minutes.
